Description

This milestone, located 300 metres north of Burbage Wharf, dates from the 18th century. It is made of painted stone and has a rectangular shape with a gabled top. The inscription is both incised and painted, indicating distances: "To Marlbro IV Miles, To Salisbury XXXIII, (To Andover) XVII."
