Description
The milestone at Upper Herdswick Farm is a mid-18th century stone marker located on the former Swindon to Marlborough turnpike. It has a triangular section with a grooved top and a square base. The incised legend on the milestone is almost illegible. The route through Four-Mile Clump was turnpiked in 1762.
