Description

STOCKTON HIGH STREET ST 93 NE (off south side) 7/140 Poticary's Barn (formerly listed as outbuilding at Manor Farm) 11.9.68 GV II Barn. C17, rebuilt and reduced in size 1980. Dressed limestone plinth to timber-frame with weatherboard cladding, half-hipped thatched roof. Four-bay, originally 8-bay. Two gabled porches with double planked doors and one low planked door to east front, rear has gabled porch with double planked doors to right and double planked doors with no porch to left. C20 planked and pantiled shed attached to south gable end, not of special interest. Interior has collar and tie-beam roof trusses with two tiers of butt purlins with straight windbracing, much of timber restored and conserved in 1980.
