Description

This is a mid-to-late 19th century house and shop, located on the west side of High Street, Malmesbury. The building is constructed from rendered limestone rubble with limestone dressings, featuring gable stacks and a double-pile slate roof. It follows a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high, with a two-window front. The symmetrical facade includes a shop front with outer doorways that feature rectangular overlights to a fascia and cornice. Small rusticated quoins are present on a bracketed gutter, and the windows have similar jambs with cambered, keyed lintels and two-light horned sashes. The interior remains uninspected. The building is primarily listed for its contribution to a notable group of listed buildings on High Street.
