Description
This is an early 19th-century house and shop, altered in the late 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed, squared limestone rubble, with brick ridge and party wall stacks and a pantile roof. It has a double-depth plan. The two-storey facade has a four-window arrangement. The right-hand two windows form the residential portion, with a panelled door set within an ashlar surround. To the left is a longer range featuring a carriage entrance with a timber cornice and a double shop front, rebuilt in the mid-20th century. The shop front includes a wide, central, half-glazed door and plate-glass windows, all beneath a fascia and cornice. Horned plate-glass sash windows from the late 19th century are set within ashlar surrounds. The interior was not inspected.
