Description

SALT LANE 1. 1594 (South Side) No 2 SU 1430 SE 2/561 II* GV 2. Former coach house. Later C16 origin C18 alterations. 2 storeys red brick, English bond at west end, plinth. Gable end old tile roof, somebrick header dentils, 1st floor has blind windows and 2 hatched with half doors and one glazing bar sash window. On ground floor: 2 coach house doors, 2 blocked doors and windows. On the south front the wall retains so metimber framing. Interior: west end of range has some original wall posts, teazle heads supporting trusses and wall plates. The trusses have tie beams, collars and purlins, some windbraces.

No 2 & the Salisbury Cycling Club form a group.
