Description

No. 2 Salt Lane is a former coach house with origins dating back to the late 16th century, featuring alterations from the 18th century. The building is two storeys high and constructed of red brick in English bond at the west end, with a plinth. It has an old tiled gable end roof, some brick header dentils, and the first floor includes blind windows along with two hatched openings that have half doors and one glazing bar sash window. On the ground floor, there are two coach house doors, as well as two blocked doors and windows. The south front of the building retains some timber framing. Inside, the west end of the range features original wall posts, teazle heads supporting trusses and wall plates, with trusses that include tie beams, collars, purlins, and some windbraces. No. 2 Salt Lane and the Salisbury Cycling Club form a group.
