Description
The police station located on Endless Street is a late 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall. The upper part is constructed of brick, while the ground floor is stuccoed. It features a moulded string course on the first floor and moulded wooden eaves supported by pairs of cut brackets. The roof is gable-ended and covered with old tiles.
The façade has five windows on the upper floors, all of which are 12-pane sashes. The ground floor has four windows, two of which lack glazing bars, and all are adorned with keystones. The entrance includes a six-panelled centre door topped by a radiating, wreathed, and curved fanlight set in a rectangular frame. This is sheltered by a curved porch hood supported by semi-engaged Doric columns. The building also has a plain frieze and a denticulated bracketed cornice with an enriched cyma.
