Description
MARKET LAVINGTON CHURCH STREET SU 0054-0154 (north side) 12/133 Fowle monument and railings in churchyard, c.18m north-east of chancel, Church of St Mary II Pedestal monument enclosed in railings. Mid C19. Limestone. Pedestal on plinth, with dentilled cornice and domed top carved with leaves. Bell finial. To Elizabeth Legge, died 1849, Thomas and Bridget Fowle, died 1839, Elizabeth Fowle, died 1881 and Thomas Fowle, died 1851. Amputated leg buried 20 years earlier to await the Resurrection.
