Description

The Fowle Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 12 metres southeast of the chancel of the village church in Manningford Abbots. This late 18th-century tomb features a moulded table and base, with recessed decorated corner brackets. It has two panels that are separated by a festooned pilaster. The monument commemorates Edward Fowle, who died in 1784, and Rebecca, who died in 1787.
