Description

Manningford Abbots Church is an Anglican parish church built between 1861 and 1864 by S.B. Gabriel of Bristol. It is constructed from limestone and malmstone rubble, featuring plain and fish-tailed tiles. The church consists of a nave, chancel, and a south porch. The nave includes one, two, and three-light windows with plate tracery, and a hoodmould with carved terminals is present only on the west window. There are angle buttresses at the west end and a tall two-light bellcote topped with a floriated cross. The gabled south porch has an arris roll and a hoodmould. The chancel features shouldered windows and a three-light east window, as well as a trefoiled priest's door. The ridge tiles and crosses on the gables are also trefoiled. Inside, the church has an open roof and an octagonal font.
