Description
Malt House Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a private house, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of diaper brick and features a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped by a lead hipped flat canopy. On the ground floor, there are tripartite four-pane sash windows, each with segmental brick arches and blue flush strings. The bricks are scratch dated 1771 and bear the initials of members of the Hitchcock family, along with 'S' ties. There is a gable stack on the left side, and to the right gable, there is a single-storey thatched extension. Additionally, there is a 20th-century two-storey extension at the rear.
