Description

The building at 29 Shaftesbury Road dates to approximately 1830 to 1840, with a later addition to the left. The right-hand section is constructed of ashlar stone set on a plinth, while an earlier wing to the left is built of painted brick. The two--story ashlar section has a slate roof and features three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all with glazing bar sashes. A central porch has a pargetted gable. The earlier brick wing contains two ranges of glazing bar sashes. All windows are now double-glazed with aluminium frames. A further extension to the left includes a throughpassage and rounded corners. A full-height bay extends to the rear of the building.
