Description

Memorial Hall at Marlborough College was designed in 1921 and unveiled in 1925 by architect W G Newton. The building is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped pantile roof. It stands two storeys tall and is characterized by a giant order. The front has a peristyle supported by eight Ionic columns that carry a full entablature. This is flanked by two closed end bays with pilasters, doors that have fanlights, and architraves with cornices on consoles. The back of the building is semi-circular.
