Meadow Cottage

Meadow Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Great Bedwyn, Crofton. It features a timber frame with brick construction, partially rendered at the rear, and has a tile-hung left gable. The cottage has a thatched roof and is single-storey with an attic, consisting of three bays with the gable facing the road. The framing consists of two panels high on a high plate, resting on a sill wall made of flint and brick. The third bay is a 19th-century extension built in brick, with a gable lean-to. A 20th-century door is positioned in the center beneath a tiled canopy, opposite the stack. The front has two-light timber casement windows and two gabled dormers. The thatch is peaked at the ends of the ridges. There is a two-flue stack located to the right of the center bay, which was originally at the gable end, along with an added stack for the extended bay.
