Description
The flue to Crofton Pumping Station is a significant industrial structure built after 1851. It is made of brick and features iron banding, flaring towards the base. The flue has been reduced in height by approximately 6 meters. It was constructed by the Great Western Railway Company following their acquisition of the canal in 1851. This flue is part of an important group of industrial and utilitarian monuments that hold special interest.
