Description
The Merrywether Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 7 metres south of the porch of the Church of St Katherine. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a plinth, two fielded shaped panels, fielded pilasters, and a moulded flat top. It bears an inscription commemorating John Merrywether, who died in 1758.
