Description
Pilgrims' Rest and Velden are a pair of cottages built around 1800. They are constructed of English bond brick with a tiled roof and feature an axial brick stack. The cottages are single storey with an attic and have four windows. Pilgrims' Rest has a central planked door flanked by two-light casements, which have louvred shutters. Velden has a 20th-century door to the right and two steel casements, one of which is located in a blocked central doorway. The roof has three hipped dormers, each with 2-light casements; however, Velden's dormer is made of steel. The rear of Pilgrims' Rest includes a 20th-century gabled extension, while Velden has a 20th-century flat-roofed rear extension. The interiors have not been inspected.
