Description
These are three consecutive buildings, numbers 28 to 30, forming part of The Parade. The buildings date from the early 18th century and are rendered. Number 28 has a timber-framed section and a tile-hung side. It is likely that the other buildings may also be partially timber-framed. The roofs are pitched slate, with sprocketing, and feature red brick stacks with 19th-century cornicing. The buildings are two storeys high, with attics.
Number 28 has three cased sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, and three blind panels above. The ground floor features one cased sash window with glazing bars, a door with six fielded panels and two glazed lights, and one shopfront. Number 29 has one cased sash window with glazing bars on the first floor, a shopfront, and a half-glazed door with an etched and frosted glass pane. Both the door and shopfront are surmounted by a moulded cornice. It also has one attic dormer with a sash window and glazing bars. Number 30 has three sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, a shopfront and a half-glazed door with an etched and frosted glass pane, both surmounted by a plain modern cornice on the ground floor. There are two attic dormers with sash windows and glazing bars.
