Description

No. 5 High Street is an early 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall. It features chequered brickwork and has a plain parapet with stone coping, topped by an old tile roof. The upper floors have four windows, all with segmental arched heads and moulded frames. The second floor windows are late 18th-century sashes, while the first floor windows are early 18th-century sashes, each four panes wide. The ground floor has been modernised. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 12, the Town Hall, Nos 131 to 144, and Midland Bank.
