Description
This is an early 19th-century Congregational Chapel, with a tablet indicating dates of 1827 and 1873. It has a symmetrical brick facade and a hipped tiled roof. A moulded cornice with a decorative band of toothed brick runs along the top of the front. The chapel has two windows on the ground floor and three on the first floor, all with round-headed recessed sash windows; the original glazing bars are intact, and they are set within gauged brick arches. A central stone Doric porch provides the main entrance and is flanked by pilasters and columns, topped with an entablature that includes a moulded cornice and a blocking course.
