Description
This is a pair of 18th-century buildings, numbers 10 and 11, forming part of The Parade. They are two storeys and have an attic. The buildings are constructed of chequer brick with red quoins and window surrounds, and red brick windowheads. A moulded brick eaves cornice runs along the top, and the roof is a Mansard style covered in old tiles, with three hipped dormers containing small sash windows. There are five windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, all with moulded frames and no glazing bars. A 19th-century central doorway is set within a clumsy stucco surround. A secondary 19th-century door is located to the left, with a pedimented stucco surround. A plate glass window has been inserted into the right-hand ground floor. Numbers 8 to 11, together with The Crown Hotel, form a group. A modern single-storey extension has been added to the right.
