Description

This is an 18th-century building, originally timber-framed and now rendered. It has a modern pitched roof and a tall, contemporary brick stack with a blue header diaper pattern. The building is two storeys high. On the first floor, there are four casement windows. The ground floor features a modern tile pent roof over an oblong shop front with glazing bars. To the left of the shop front are two modern doors. Following the shop front are: one casement window with glazing bars; one modern door in the original opening; one modern sash window in the original opening; a pair of 19th-century glazed double doors; and a 19th-century half-glazed door with a fanlight. Numbers 8 and 9, The Parade, are part of a group with The Crown Hotel and numbers 10 and 11.
