Description
The kiln at Mirldown House, located 60 meters south of the house, is an early 19th-century tile kiln. It is constructed of brick and has a rectangular shape, measuring approximately 4 meters by 5 meters. The entrance is situated on the northeast side, and there is a vent above it. The structure features rounded corners and has iron bands on the upper stage that reflect the interior shape. Inside, the kiln rises to an oval vent that is approximately 5 meters high. The absence of firing tunnels indicates that this kiln was used for clayware other than bricks, likely for producing tiles.
