Description

This is a kiln for firing bricks and tiles, built around 1830 with later re-casing and a parapet. It is a square building of the downdraught type, featuring a shallow dome and a central round chimney made of header brick. The entrance is located on the northwest side. The kiln was in use until about 1939 when the local clay was exhausted.
