Description

The Chancel End of St John's Churchyard is a building dated 1733, noted on a rainwater pipe. It has two storeys and a cellar, constructed of brick on a projecting plinth with stone capping. There are string courses at the first-floor level and above the first-floor windows, and a brick parapet with stone coping. The building features angle stone pilaster strips that extend the full height. The roof is covered with stone tiles.

On the first floor, there are three windows, with one blind window to the right of the center. The ground floor has two windows on the left side, and a door located beneath a first-floor panel, accompanied by an additional panel to the right. All windows have slightly projecting moulded stone surrounds. Above the doorway, there is a stone panel, and the door itself is modern. The house is oriented approximately 48 degrees with the line of the churchyard path, including an additional bay and one window. Notably, there is a fine rainwater head made of cast lead on the right side, featuring the initials PCM in a cartouche along with cherubs.
