Description
These are an early 19th century pair of buildings on Long Street. They are two storeys and have an attic, presented as a symmetrical design. The buildings are constructed of red brick with a stone plinth. A later 19th-century tile hanging covers the central gable, which is decorated with fretted bargeboards. The roof is steeply pitched and covered in pantiles.
There are two windows on each upper floor. The outer windows are wide and have segmental arches, while the inner windows are rectangular. The entrances are set at ground floor level within the recesses. A decorative band runs between the floors, featuring a lozenge and Greek key pattern. The outer windows have four panes, while those above the doorways have three panes with semi-circular heads. The recessed doors are of three flush panels, with a diamond-shaped centre panel, and are topped with semi-circular fanlights featuring radial glazing bars. A passage door is located in the centre of the front facade. The outer windows are four-pane sashes, the upper windows three-pane sashes with semi-circular heads.
