Description
47 Long Street is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall. It is constructed of red brick with tile hanging on the second floor and features a steeply pitched hipped tile roof with an eaves band. The façade has one window front, with recessed sashes on the upper floors; the glazing bars are intact on the second floor, while the first floor has been altered. On the ground floor, there is a shallow canted bay window with intact glazing bars, framed by narrow pilasters, a plain frieze, and a projecting cornice. A cellar grill is located at the base. To the right, there is a recessed five-panel door, with the top panel featuring a glazed crossed diagonal pattern, sheltered by a flat hood supported by cut brackets. The building has a picturesque appearance. Numbers 43 to 47 Long Street form a group.
