Description

Aspenshaw Hall is a building dated 1727, as indicated by the rainwater head and a mullion window in the basement. However, some details of the front elevation may be from the 19th century. The structure is two storeys tall and constructed of coursed stone, featuring coped gable ends, chimney stacks, and a moulded eaves cornice. It has rusticated quoins and a band above the first floor, as well as a band between the ground and first floors. The building sits on a plinth and has five windows in moulded surrounds above four windows, which do not have glazing bars. The entrance features a Tuscan doorcase with an open pediment and modern doors, along with a semi-circular fanlight.
