SK 08 NW PARISH OF HAYFIELD LANESIDE ROAD I/I43 (North Side) 21.4.67 Small barn to south,south east of Long Lee GV II

Barn. Dated I679. Coursed gritstone rubble with massive quoins. Gritstone dressings. Stone slate roof. Moulded stone copings and kneelers to gables. Moulded stringcourse between floors. East gable wall - above stringcourse , doorcase with massive chamfered, quoined surround. Lintel inscribed "IHMH I679'. South wall has two four-light chamfered mullion windows, above two three- light chamfered mullion windows. To north wall over stringcourse central circular opening with pierced openings either side. Interior - ovolo moulded beams supporting floor.
