Description

The kitchen courtyard walls at Wilton Park date from around 1801 and were designed in a Gothick style by Wyatt. Constructed from ashlar stone, the walls are single storey and feature crenellations. They include drip moulds above cross-glazed windows, weathered buttresses, and a crenellated parapet. These walls connect the entrance lodges with the north front of the house, creating a large courtyard. The facing doors, located in breaks to the north of the house, have Tudor arch heads and pointed panelling. There is a pedimented doorway at the north end of the Riding School, which displays the monogram "PMA". Additionally, there are gatepiers at each end of the flanking walls near the entrance lodges, and to the south-west, there are one and two storey buildings connected by a covered passage to the Riding School.
