Description

SHREWTON BUSTARD SU 04 NE (west side) 2/228 Milestone approximately 60 metres south of Bustard Hotel II Milestone. Early C19. Limestone with cast-iron plate. Rectangular pillar. Cast-iron plate to front has raised lettering: SALISBURY / 11 / DEVIZES / 12. Salisbury to Devizes turnpike was complete by c1775. (M.C.
