Description
The granary located to the north of Elston Hill Farmhouse is dated 1798 on a beam but was relocated from another site as part of the farm complex developed for Stephen Mills, an agricultural improver, between 1840 and 1858. It features weatherboard cladding over a timber frame and has a pyramidal slate roof supported by staddle stones. The loft door is positioned to the left above the main north door. Inside, the granary retains its grain bins and the beam dated 1798, with chamfered posts supporting the grain bins and a king-post roof. There are two rows of pigeon holes with arched entrances, which are now blocked.
