Description

The Philpott monument is a pedestal monument located in the churchyard, approximately 6 meters north-east of the vestry of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of grey sandstone. The monument features a pedestal on a stone base with an offset top and recessed side panels. It commemorates Henry Philpott, who died in 1827, his daughter Harriett, and others. The monument also includes an inscription for his wife Frances, who died in 1852.
