Description

The monument to --- Phillips is a chest tomb located in the churchyard approximately 13 metres south of the south window in the chancel of the Church of St Mary. This 18th-century tomb is made of sandstone and features a flat top with a plain edge and a deep chamfer. It has quarter balusters and rectangular panels, with the base having sunk at the time of the survey in September 1983. The inscriptions on the tomb are generally not legible, but they include the name Phillips.
