Description

No 6 Kingston Road is a cottage that was formerly a lodge, located in the south-west corner of the grounds of the Hall. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and is designed in an octagonal shape with two storeys. The exterior features coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and window dressings, topped by a stone-slab roof. The corners are adorned with pinnacles and saddle stones. A tall octagonal chimney stack with a square base is situated on the north side. There is a string course running around the building. The windows are wooden-framed casements arranged in pairs, separated by stone mullions, and retain their glazing bars. The entrance is located on the south side. No 6, along with Nos 3 and 9, as well as the section of wall and gatepiers at the Hall, form a group.
