Description
No. 46 High Street is a cottage built in the mid to late 19th century. It features plastered walls, likely made of brick, with brick stacks and a thatched roof. The house has an L-shaped design, with the main block facing west onto the High Street. It has a two-room layout with a central staircase, and a third room located at the back of the left (northern) room. The front rooms have end stacks and the cottage is two storeys high. The symmetrical front has two windows fitted with 20th-century casements that do not have glazing bars, along with a central 19th-century six-panel door. The roof connects to that of the adjacent No. 44 High Street on the right and is hipped to the left. The interior has not been inspected. No. 46 is part of an attractive and varied group of buildings, most of which are listed, located near the Church of All Saints. It is the last house on this side at the top of the High Street.
