Description
The gatepiers and gates at the main entrance to the northeast of the Hall are constructed from ashlar and date from possibly the mid-19th century or earlier. Each gatepier stands approximately 10 feet high and features a moulded plinth, inset panels, and an entablature with a frieze at the top. Both gatepiers are topped with finely carved stone eagles that have their heads turned outward from the entrance. The entrance is completed by two wrought-iron gates that display a spike motif. The Hall, along with its terraces, walls, gatepiers, balustrades, two garden seats, and the surrounding wall, forms a cohesive group.
