Description

This is a milestone located approximately 570 metres east of the North Farm turn in West Overton. It dates from the 18th century and is made of painted stone. The milestone has a triangular shaft with a lozenge-shaped top. The painted inscriptions read "MARLBRO' 3" on the left side, "CALNE 9" on the right side, and "LONDON 78" on the top face. The legend on the foot is obscured. The milestone has been reset.
