Description

North Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th to early 19th century. It features diaper brickwork and is tile hung on the upper floor, topped with an asbestos slate roof. The building has two storeys and a double pile plan, with a through stair hall and a rear kitchen wing on the left. The central entrance consists of a 6-panelled door with a round fanlight, set within a panelled timber portico. The ground floor has tripartite 12-pane sash windows with shaped blind boxes, and gauged brick arches with stone keys. The first floor also has 12-pane sashes. The eaves are boxed, and the roof is hipped. At the rear, there is a door in an extruded angle, which is a 6-panelled door with a radial fanlight. There are stacks located at the sides of the building.
