Description
Chalkstones is a house dating from the late 17th century or 18th century, constructed of painted chalk rubble with a half-hipped thatched roof and a ridge stack. The building has one and a half storeys. The north front features two gabled dormers with pairs of casement windows on the left, above two pairs of casement windows and an eyebrow dormer with a triple casement on the right, which is above another pair of casement windows. The south front has two eyebrow dormers, a triple casement window on the right, and a four-light casement window on the left, both of which are leaded with iron opening lights. On the ground floor, the left side has a four-light casement window and a door set in a hipped thatched 20th-century porch, while the right side has a triple casement window, a door, and a single casement window. The southeast corner features brick quoins.
