Description

This is a house dating from the 17th or early 18th century, with later extensions. It is constructed of painted chalk rubble with a thatched roof and a ridge stack. The north gable is half-hipped. The original part of the house features a small dormer window (an “eyebrow”) over a pair of casement windows on the east side, along with several casement windows on the ground floor. The north end has three casement windows on each floor; the ground floor window has leaded lights. Brick quoins are visible. A 20th-century addition is situated to the south, with an “eyebrow” dormer, a front door, and three casement windows on its east-facing side. One window at the north end is reportedly inscribed with the date 1799.
