Description

No. 5 Main Road is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a Bridgwater tile mansard roof with end stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range that includes cambered head casements: a pair in the centre and triple casements on each side. The central door is set within a plain ashlar surround, and there is a gabled timber enclosed porch. Attic windows are located in the end walls. To the east, there is a single-storey outbuilding made of rubble stone, topped with pantiles and a half-hipped east gable. An eroded datestone can be found on the chimney at the east end.
