Description

Elm Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. It features a rendered exterior over chalk rubble and has a thatched half-hipped roof with a ridge stack. The building has one and a half storeys. On the first floor to the right, there is a pair of casement windows set under an eyebrow. On the ground floor, there are pairs of casement windows on each side of the door, which is also located under an eyebrow. The door and windows have been replaced with 20th-century versions. Elm Tree Cottage stands at the end of an unnamed lane off The Street and was formerly known as Elm Tree Farmhouse.
