Description

CHERHILL PARK LANE SU 07 SW (east side) 9/105 2 Deep Thatch GV II

House, C16 and C17, timber frame with thatched half-hipped roof and two ridge stacks. 1 1/2 storey and attic with high gabled dormers. South side has four dormers, alternately with casement pairs and triple casements. Ground floor has exposed framing to left with angle braces, door with thatched hood, casement pair and triple casement with original leaded lights. Centre painted stone and brick chimney wall, then brick section to right with C20 six-light casement then square framing to right with one original casement. East end wall has exposed full cruck truss and first floor casement pair. North wall has tall gabled dormer with original triple casement to left and large timber-framed gable to right with original small leaded oriel and ogee braces. Casement pair in thatch between. Ground floor has framing to left with door, then rendered section with 3-light unmoulded stone mullion window with original leaded lights, then framing to right with straight and ogee-curved angle braces, two single casements, and two casement pairs.
