Description
East Swainsford Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from squared and coursed limestone with a slate roof. The building features a plain gabled block with a single-storey service wing at the back on the left side. It stands two storeys high and has three windows, which are 16-pane sashes. There is a central gabled porch that leads to a glazed door. The north gable end includes a 16-pane sash window at the top left. The rear of the farmhouse has a 16-pane sash window above the service wing, a central 20-pane window over a two-light glazing bar casement, and a 16-pane window over a two-light casement to the right. Additionally, there is a two-light 20th-century steel window and a door that has been inserted between the first and second windows. The left return features a 16-pane window above a 20th-century glazed door. The farmhouse has two large brick stacks at the gables, and there is an extension to the left that is not of special interest.
