Description

The Hawkins Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 1 metre north of the nave of the Church of All Saints. It was constructed in 1848 and is made of limestone with wrought iron. The tomb features angle balusters and single panels on the sides, which are adorned with deeply incised Roman and italic lettering dedicated to Thomas Hawkins. It has a moulded base and a cyma recta moulded slab with a cambered top. The enclosure is surrounded by lance railings topped with fleur de lys finials.
