Description
The Hawkins Monument, located in the churchyard 7 metres southeast of the tower of the Church of St. Michael, is a tomb dating from the late 19th century. It is made of Portland stone and has a cuboid shape with plain corner pilasters at the base. The monument features a moulded entablature and is set within a paved area that is enclosed by cast iron railings. This monument is similar to and forms a group with another pair of Hawkins monuments nearby.
