Description
The pair of Hawkins monuments, located in the churchyard 5 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Michael, are a group of two tombs dating from the mid to late 19th century. They are made of Portland stone and have a cuboid shape with plain corner pilasters at the base and a moulded entablature. The tombs stand within a paved and railed enclosure. Both monuments commemorate members of the Hawkins family from Wexcombe, with inscriptions dating from 1849 to 1878.
