Description

This is an 18th-century cottage attached to number 26. It is constructed of local rubble stone with a double Roman tiled roof and a brick gable-end stack. The cottage faces the street with a gabled end. It is two storeys high and has two windows on each floor. The front door is set at a right angle to the street and is contained within a chamfered door case with an entrance surround in a cyma moulded case with a moulded cornice. To the right of the door is a 16-pane sash window, also within a cyma moulded case with a moulded cornice. The first floor has a two-light and a three-light window with a cyma mullion design. The gable end has a plate glass sash window within a cyma moulded case with a moulded cornice; the first floor has a two-light cyma mullioned window. A 20th-century hallway extension is located to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
