Description

No 26 Church Walk is a house that is attached to nos 24 and 26a, which are now part of a hotel. It dates from the early 18th century and is constructed of painted brick with a stone slate mansard roof and brick stacks. The building is two stories tall with an attic and features four windows. A six-panelled door, located to the right of center, is framed by a pedimented porch. To the right of the door is a six-pane sash window with a moulded cornice, and to the left is a four-pane sash window with a moulded cornice, along with a blocked bull's eye window. On the first floor, there are three two-light cyma-mullioned windows and one single casement window. The roof includes two flat-roofed dormers, while the rear roof pitch is covered with 20th-century double Roman tiles. The interior has not been inspected.
